Splish Splash! A Story of 3 Different Pools

"Splish Splash Splosh in the Hotel Pool!"
by Juliues L.

When my uncle Giancarlo's wedding was over, I went back to the hotel and asked my aunt  Vanessa if I can stay in the hotel with her for the night. She said yes! The next morning, after breakfast, I asked her if I could go in the pool now, and she said, "Yup!".  I ran to the hotel room, and changed into my swimming trunks . When I got to the pool, I thought it was shaped like a sad face. Kind of like a "creeper's mouth" from Minecraft. I liked the pool because it was big enough for me and my brothers and my new friend "Billy" to swim in. I called him "Billy", but he told me to call him "Mayor".  Tia Vanessa came in the pool too, but Yaya (my grandma) did not, because she said the water was cold. When I got in, it was cold, but after a while, it felt warm. But Yaya still thought it was cold. I did a cannonball into the water, and it made a huge splash. That was fun! After about two hours, I went back to the hotel room then I took a nap, because I was tired from swimming. I left the hotel in the afternoon. I thought that day was a splish, splash, splosh!

"Cannonball!"
by Giovanni
Last weekend, my dad said, "Come on. We're going to a BBQ pool party". I was so happy about going to a pool! So I got dressed to go in my swimming trunks, a cool shirt, and my Converse AllStar party shoes! Then, my dad drove my brothers and me to Kaine's BBQ pool party. Kaine is my dad's friend's son. We call him our cousin. Kaine's pool looks like a huge square. It has a diving board and a "grown up" section that's really deep. The kids section is not so deep. I was in the back yard with my friend Kaine, my brothers, and another kid named Damien. I raced my brothers and the other kids to the pool. When we jumped in, I did a cannonball. I was first one in the pool! I asked Kaine's dad if he had goggles so I could look underwater to see everybody swim.  When I put them on and went underwater, it was awesome, because I saw everybody! I saw Kaine saying "Hi" to me underwater, and I said "Hi" back. After that, I told him to follow me, and we went out to the side of the pool so we could make a biiiiiiiiiiig cannonball to try to make my brothers fly into the air out of the water. It didn't work, and all we saw was a big splash! At night we caught fireflies. That day was awesome! I HAD FUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!

"Whirlpool!"
by Giorgio L.
Yesterday and today, I went in Amy's pool. Amy is my next door neighbor, that I play with sometimes. She's fun. It was very hot outside. First, my brothers went to the pool. I was watching everyone have fun, and I wanted to dive in and have fun too! I went back home and changed into my swimming clothes. Then I went into the pool. The water was not that cold. It was nice and warm. I was happy, because I don't like cold water. The pool was blue, and big like a huge kiddie pool, and the water came up to my hip. Me, my brothers, and Amy all were having fun! We were throwing around balls, and everyone was play fighting to sit on the floatie tube. A while later, we started playing Marco Polo, and it was really fun. Everyone was diving in the water and hiding, because they did not want to be "it". We played for a while, then Amy had a plan. It was to make a whirlpool! So we started walking and swimming around and around and around. We all stopped and started floating around in a circle to see everyone float faster. Then we decided to do it again. It was  fun, but today was even more fun, because my best friend, Justin came to the pool too!

It all started with a simple Google search...

"Fun summer checklist". This was all that was typed into the Google search bar. I was looking for fun activities for my step-sons to do during the summer and found this great list of summer activities entitled "100 Things to Do This Summer". It's nothing extravagant, or out of the ordinary, however that was the appeal! It was doable, and most of the things were free or of low cost. As a full-time step-mom, I like to find new things for "the boys" to do, and they were all-in for this "adventure". Follow along as these fun-loving triplets blog about their experiences. Join in and follow the summer fun list if you'd like!
